Walked my little man to school this morning. And then home again.
The streets are always empty at that time.
Empty and clean in the morning sun.

The first magnolia flowers are in bud.

a sydney winter day which felt like spring.
15 minutes from our house is a river. one of my favourite walks is the two valley trail, especially the mangrove section between tempe and undercliffe. only metres from the main highway south, metres from the diesel goods train line, a stone's throw from sydney international airport ... this.

a small taste of fairyland, full of birds and growth, a world away from the city and yet right at our doorstep.

bastille day.
